Georgia Association for Developmental Education
GADE is the Georgia chapter of the National Association for Developmental Education and comprised of teachers from all levels of education in the state.
Like its parent organization, NADE, GADE seeks to improve the theory and practice of developmental education at all levels of the educational spectrum, the professional capabilities of developmental educators, and the design of programs to prepare developmental educators. GADE focuses on the academic success of students by:providing professional development, supporting student learning, providing public leadership, disseminating exemplary models of practice, coordinating efforts with other organizations, facilitating communication among developmental education professionals, and anticipating trends.
NADE's motto ("Helping underprepared students prepare, prepared students advance, and advanced students excel") is intended to convey the fundamental belief that developmental education services enhance academic, personal, and professional achievement for all learners. GADE supports this mantra.
